Fertility Depends On

Satisfactory Mucus

“The Ovulation Method has established itself as the primary management of the problem of infertility.  In general it has a much higher success rate of overcoming this problem than such procedures a In Vitro Fertilization and GIFT (Gamete Intra-Fallopian Transfer); the first and often the only course necessary is to instruct the woman to identify the presence of the slippery, lubricative mucus which can be felt at the vulva at a time of high fertility.”

                                                      (John J Billings M.D., Melbourne 1987)

Many things can affect a couples ability to conceive. Problems may stem from physical, emotional or environmental stresses and/or the timing of intercourse.  Our instructors work with the couple to help them remove any obstacles and to help them understand the signs that accompany the time of ovulation for the woman's individual cycle.

Three things necessary for conception

Three things are necessary for conception: sperm, an egg and the presence of fertile-type cervical mucus.  Without mucus, the sperm will die within hours.  Couples struggling with infertility can learn to recognize when they are most likely to conceive by learning The Ovulation Method.  When a woman is instructed in The Ovulation Method, she learns to identify the signs that accompany the time when she is fertile- when conception can occur.

Fertile for 100 hours a month

Men are potentially fertile all the time whereas women are only potentially fertile about 100 hours a month.  At certain times of life or because of stress, illness or inadequate nutrition a woman may only be fertile for a few hours in her cycle.  By being able to recognize her peak of fertility, the chances of achieving pregnancy are greatly increased.

We recommend purchasing the fertility checklist on the products page and scheduling a class with an instructor on the Class Schedules page.

"Understanding the simple facts about the signs of fertility confers considerable power to couples to control their fertility, for achieving as well as preventing conception."
